Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Stokes United is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Executive Director to lead our efforts in fostering a thriving and compassionate community. As Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in connecting our Board of Directors, local agencies, and contributors to ensure we have a lasting impact on Stokes County.

You’ll oversee fundraising campaigns, manage relationships with agencies, and help guide our organization’s strategic initiatives. This full-time position offers the chance to lead a team, plan meaningful events, and be at the heart of a mission-driven organization working to improve the lives of those in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Campaign Leadership: Work closely with the Campaign Chair to recruit volunteers, organize meetings, and ensure campaign success.
  • Lead Fundraising Efforts: Oversee all fundraising activities, from organizing exciting events like the Duck Race to creating impactful marketing materials.
  • Agency Relations: Build strong, supportive relationships with partner agencies to ensure open communication and collaborative efforts.
  • Board Engagement: Work hand-in-hand with the Board of Directors, setting agendas and guiding board meetings, while fostering strong executive leadership.
  • Community Outreach: Serve as the public face of Stokes United by engaging with civic groups, schools, and businesses to promote our mission and strengthen our presence in the community.
Qualifications
  • A degree in business, marketing, or relevant experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in nonprofit management preferred
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and donor management software
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a passion for community service
  • Event planning or fundraising experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
